COLOURARTE-Radiant Gels Suncatcher

Go to the ColourArte Youtube channel to view video about Radiant Gels Suncatcher by Linda Ann Smith  https://youtu.be/0kJczghig_E ,

or view it on Linda Ann's channel here:  https://youtu.be/55X5-HhGWgI

While shopping at Habitat for Humanity's Restore, I found several pieces of glass that had once been parts of lighting fixtures, and recycled them into sun catchers.

Here's how:

1. Remove residue & fingerprints to insure proper adhesion of paint.

2.  Paint with Radiant Gels Dimensional Paint

3. Place on foil or old cookie sheet, paint side up.

4. Bake @ 200 degrees for 45 min.  Turn oven off.  Allow to cool in oven.

5.  Coat paint with Primary Elements Clear Gloss Gel. Return to oven and repeat step 4.

6.  Add wire bale.

7. Use strong cord to add found objects.

Hang and enjoy!

Whimsy #1

I've tested my patience in far too many waiting rooms lately.  I get very tired of reading magazines that do not remotely relate to my interests. I think I would prefer to read the local phone book than those pamphlets about disease or pharmaceuticals.  HO HUM!

So I have learned to take a minimum of art supplies to entertain myself everyplace.  If nothing else, I always have a pencil, a sharpener, an eraser, a black or sepia permanent ink artist pen, and a sketchpad of some sort...(usually that is a Strathmore Mixed Media pad).

See how I turned a simple face drawing above into the whimsy face on the right using the Luminous Faces set of Twinkling H2O's (shimmering watercolors) from ColourArte.

Tandem Video Hop-OCT 8

Don't miss the Inspiration Conspiracy Video Hop...with 13 tutorials of approximately 10 minutes each.  It is coming on October 8, 2015, 1:00 pm Central Time  AND...it is paired with a second Video Hop by 13 additional artists that you will want to view.  (You will be given the link for that hop when you view the first one.)

Here is the link to my video channel for other videos:

Linda Ann Smith's YouTube Channel

Viewing this post after this above date?  No worry!!  Click on my video link and you can still view all of the great YouTube video creators' art tutorials.  There is quite a variety of talent and you won't be disappointed!

It very easy to maneuver through the hop. After you watch each video,  just go to the description box below the video and click on the first link in that hop.  That link takes you to the next hop!

And this time around it is a tandem hop, so you will see a link to an additional hop that was created with a new group of YouTube Creators.

How it Began:

Shannon Green graciously chose to pair 10 small YouTube groups (less than a 1000 subscribers) with her own and two additional thriving YouTube groups for a total of 13 in the first Hop.  She did this to help the smaller channels gain recognition and subscribers...and it worked very well, I am happy to say!  It was such a success that Shannon has chosen ten new small channels and two new larger channels to repeat the fun!  And the future promises MORE to come!!!

Did you miss that first one?  It is still there!  Waiting for you to view.  Just go to this link:
https://youtu.be/FXxDzq1fC18

You will view my video, called "Move Over, Betty Crocker," and then go to the description box below to click on the first link to the next video.  Repeat this for each additional video until you land back at my YouTube Channel!  Approximately 10 minutes per video.  You won't want to miss these and it is worth your time.
